These socks work nice for my Golden. She is older and tends to slip on floor when getting up and running. I wanted to buy something that she can wear in and out of the house. Then at night we put regular no slip socks on her. The one thing I would LOVE is for this company to do is add a snap with velcro. Right now I used velcro from another dog sock to wrap around these. With velcro, the socks stay on my dog's paws, without they tend to come off after awhile. I want to leave sock on her paws all day yo keep her from slipping. I may get an extra pair so when these are being cleaned or drying she will have another pair. Luckily she us used to wearing no slip socks so these were easy to get used to.I tried over a dozen different options for helping my dog to walk. These are the ones that I ended up using. I tried a smaller size and they were too short. These are still a little too big and turn on him frequently, but the full rubber sole allows him to still walk in them. I also like that I can just wipe off the bottom of them if he steps in something. We’ve been using these socks for our 70lb dog for 5 years now. He had an injury that was paralyzing his back legs and he couldn’t get up off the floor. After surgery, he could get up and walk on carpet but couldn’t walk on slippery floors .. tile, wood etc. These socks make it possible for him to get up and walk. These socks are amazing and relatively affordable. We need to replace them every couple of months. Great productIt's difficult to find socks or shoes for him do to his short legs. They look like thigh highs on him. They still fall off pretty easily too despite covering his entire legMy dog Snoopy has issues with allergies and blistering on his feet when we go on our daily walks. We’ve tried many different shoes and boots, and these are by far the best! He’s not a fan of the initial put on, but once they’re on, he happily goes on his walk- and no more blistered toes! These dog boots are durable and stay on his feet well. I would recommend turning down the cuff one time to help keep the boots on. They are not water proof so if he steps in a puddle or is out in pouring rain they will get wet, but temporarily being in dewey grass is usually ok. In terms of durability, they will get holes in the toes and the bottoms eventually, maybe after a month or so of daily wear. I would say the bright blue and the pink/ neon green ones are the most durable, while the black ones are the least durable of the three colors. There is not much stretch in the toes where the non-slip covering is, but the rest of the sock is stretchy. Be careful when putting your dog’s foot in the sock. The thumb nail especially can get snagged in the knit. I would definitely recommend these boots, especially for the price, durability, and comfort for my dog (who is very sensitive!).Bought these for my 14yo husky who drags his hind legs a fair amount and one of them turns out as he walks. We have had below zero temps and he kept falling after about 60 seconds of standing on cold snow. I have read that many dogs do not like boots because they can't feel the ground, so I wanted to try something that would allow this. It took a few treats to get them on, but once on he completely ignored them and moved as usual. They provided plenty of traction in snow (though he did slip a bit on the foot that turns out because he was actually walking partially on the sock itself). These are tight to put on (and with a disabled dog like mine, he needed to be laying down in order to get it on); you really have to stretch the sock part out as you go over the paw, but they also wouldn't be as effective if they didn't fit so snugly. I first put one on and within a minute or so it had slipped down on the foot that turns out. I tried again, and used some of the grippy/stretchy self-adhering bandage wrap (can be purchased in your local pharmacy but they also usually carry this at pet stores) and wrapped it around tightly (but not too tightly) a couple times just below the cuff. Secured the socks perfectly! We've been out twice now and they've not slipped off and the cold hasn't been an issue. These serve their intended purpose fairly well, but it would be nice to see a couple improvements: 1. they might stay on a bit better without the need for additional wrap if they were an inch or two taller. 2. it would be helpful it the grippy area came up just a bit higher for those with longer narrow feet. 3. would be nice if there was another model with a wider leg and velcro straps (to cut down on time putting them on).Definitely worth trying, but measure carefully. I ordered M and L to try - the L width (2.5") was right on for sizing, but it's borderline too short in length, and wish I'd ordered an XL to try. They were the only sock with a good strong grippy sole that I could get in a small enough size. My Jack Russell has very small feet and gets sore toes. These stayed on pretty well but to be sure I also put a little medical tape around the top. She got used to them pretty quickly as they are not bulky and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend.Paid alot of money for these to be shipped from America and they still don't stay on my dogs feetFantastic. Changed my 13-year old dog's life. He wears these all the time except on walks outside (I take them off overnight). He was afraid to walk on our slippery floors inside because he would slip and hurt his arthritic hips. Now he walks without fear and can go longer on our outdoor walks because he is not hurting himself inside. Moisture doesn't build up too badly inside the sock which is fantastic. I highly recommend these. I've had them for a month and they are holding up. He uses them inside and in the back yard. They only come off for our longer walks, but really I should be taking them off nightly. I hope they hold up in the winter and that they don't fall off on the snow!! So far, they stay up perfectly!! He is wearing a size medium and he is a 50 lb standard poodle. I might try a large next time as these looked a little small but he seems comfortable in them and I'm worried that if I go up in size they might then slip off? I don't know. Oh, I'm a veterinarian of that gives my endorsement more weight.I've purchased this product before, so I knew what I was getting, but this is the first time I've purchased it from Amazon.ca. I usually purchase a pack of small and x-small because of the sizes difference between the front and back paws.I really like this product, I use the socks to protect my dogs paws from the harsh winter elements and the salt. During the walk, I have to stop periodically to pull the socks up because the constant movement of the paws causes the socks to slide down. These are so much better than the other grip socks I have found. My senior pup has a weak hind and her back legs would slip on wood flooring and she would end up belly down and not able to get herself up. Broke my heart. These socks have grip all the way around which is key. The other socks have the little sticky pads on them but the socks would turn around on her paws and make her slip more. These are the only socks we use on her now. Would be nice to have a better color selection in different sizes though.
