This did produce a huge amount of heat once lit and didn't impart any unwanted flavours either direct grilling or low and slow indirect cooking. However there are several downsides that mean I'll not buy it again.First the bricks (logs?) are incredibly crumbly I'd say at least a third of the bag has been rendered into useless powder in transport.Second, you don't get that much for your money anyway. I've managed to get only about 3 and a half chimneys out of the bag. The bricks that were reasonably intact are huge so you don't get many in the same volume.Third, it's been really sparky while being lit, something I've always associated with an inferior charcoal. I might be wrong on that one but the lump charcoal I normally use is consistently clean burning.
